This workshop will explore ancient medical and philosophical ideas about the body's synchronicity with its environment and the circumstances that affect its health and well-being. It will also explore synchronizing as an attempt to induce, manage, influence, and manipulate this synchronicity. In particular, it will unpack ancient views of the body under three aspects: the healthy body, the gendered body, and the sick body.
