Recent advances and a growing accessibility of the technology offer new use cases for the application of Virtual Reality in a wide area of fields. We would like to invite you to explore the potential of Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality in Humanities research. Seamless blending of physical and digital spaces may enable us to inspect architectural reconstructions within their original environment. We may gain first-hand experiences operating ancient machinery or reproducing groundbreaking experiments. Recent efforts in 3D digitisation may turn out to be crucial to safeguarding cultural heritage, and Virtual Reality glasses allow us to study them in detail.
